Commemoration of the Anniversary of the Death of King Aleksandar I Karađorđević
Today, a delegation of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces laid a wreath at the sarcophagus of King Aleksandar I Karađorđević, in the St. George’s Church in Oplenac near Topola to mark the 84th anniversary of his death.

The wreaths were laid by representatives of the municipality of Topola and associations of citizens dedicated to fostering the traditions of liberation wars of Serbia.
King Aleksandar I Karađorđević, the Superior Commander of the Serbian Army in the First World War, was killed in French town Marseille on 9th October 1934.
