Minister Vulin: Traditions that made us big did not disappear




 
Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin attended today the main racing day within the Serbian Armed Forces Cup – Karađorđevo 2018 event.
 
On this occasion, Minister Vulin pointed out that after decades of planned and deliberate neglect of the army, the Serbian Armed Forces is equipping, arming and investing in the standard of living of all its members, but the Serbian Armed Forces is also recovering those traditions that have made us important and great.
 
- The Serbian Armed Forces is part of our everyday life. To return the race to Karađorđevo, return the cavalry platoon to our Guard, all those things are the things that are bringing the army back to our everyday life. Every investment in the Serbian Armed Forces is an investment in the quality of life of every citizen of our country – Minister Vulin emphasized.
 
The minister of defence pointed out that the Serbian Armed Forces has always been part of us.
 
- That is what it is, we show it again, it is a part of our everyday life and the proof that the traditions that made us great have not died, are not forgotten and that we are worthy sucessors of the magnificence of our ancestors – Minister Vulin said.
 
Minister Vulin also greeted the audience on behalf of the President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, expressing his gratitude to him on this occasion, because, as he added, if there was no personal enthusiasm, effort and desire to recover all of this, nothing of what could have been seen today in the Karađorđevo horse farm would be possible.
 
Minister Vulin visited today the Karađorđevo horse farm and attended the parade of the cavalry platoon of the Guard of the Serbian Armed Forces, as well as the main galloper race for the Serbian Armed Forces Cup – Cavalry Division Race.
 
This year's winner in the main galloper race for the Serbian Armed Forces Cup – Cavalry Division Race at 2,000 meters is horse Atil Trlić, from “Trlić” stable and rider Đorđe Perović who was handed out the cup by Minister Vulin.
 
The second place in this race was taken by horse Ornament of the rider Kristijan Gnesi, and the third place was taken by horse Samis Varior whose rider was Aleksandar Šašić.
 
Lieutenant General Milan Mojsilović, Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, handed out the trophy to the winner of the “Košare” trotter race at 2,200 meters, Branko Skenderović riding trotter horse Pablo Jet.
 
The main racing day at the Serbian Armed Forces Cup – Karađorđevo 2018 event was marked by five trotter and four galloper races.
