Minister Vulin: Armed Forces renews Karađordjevo stud farm with its own money, knowledge and people
Investment in the Armed Forces is an investment in a better standard
Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin and Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Serbia Mubarak Al Dhaheri visited Karađordjevo stud farm of the Morović Military Establishment and works on the adaptation of facilities that are in progress.
Minister Vulin thanked friends from the United Arab Emirates, who helped, with their generous donation, “restoration of not only military horse breeding, but also, renewal of Arab blood in our horses throughout the country with new Arab horses”.- The Serbian Armed Forces will not abandon any of its facilities that deserve to be restored. The Serbian Armed Forces will continue to invest and restore everything that was left behind, I can say, by deliberate neglect and deliberate desire to downsize and destroy the armed forces. Karađordjevo stud farm deserves to be restored and to be used by all citizens of Serbia, minister of defense said.
According to him, investment in the Armed Forces is an investment in quality and a better standard of every citizen of Serbia.
- When the Armed Forces renews its stud farm and its sports facilities, local self-government will also benefit from it, just like any visitor, sports fans and the budget of the Republic of Serbia. Everything the Armed Forces does and everything it is renewing, it renews it with its own resources and its own forces. Our minds, experts and institutions are working on everything that is being renewed in the Serbian Armed Forces. The Serbian Armed Forces shows that it is able not only to take care of itself, but also to care about the quality of life of all citizens in our country, and it will continue to behave like that, Minister Vulin said.Nebojša Zlatanović, Karađordjevo stud farm manager, said that after more than 50 years, the works on the adaptation of the facilities in the stud farm have started in order to improve the living and working conditions for both animals and people accomodated in these premises.
- Refurbishment of the hippodrome has also been planned, with the aim of holding a manifestation that has been introduced since this year as a traditional one, which are Gallop races in September. All this is primarily thanks to the engagement of the minister of defence, but also the Department for Infrastructure, the Military Construction Centre and the Military Construction Institution that carries out these works. The Minister has recognised that this is really a potential that should be preserved, renewed, that it is a pearl which should be restored to the old glory, Zlatanović pointed out.
