Congratulatory Message of the Minister of Defence on the Occasion of the Day of the Guard
I extend my sincere congratulations on the occasion of 6th May – the Day of the Guard and the Day of Patron Saint to all the members of the unit.
Continuing 188 years long tradition, when, on the Day of St. George, the Guard was established upon the order of Prince Miloš Obrenović, owing to extraordinary expertise and professionalism you have showed that you are one of the elite units of the Serbian Armed Forces.
In the previous period, you have achieved notable results and successfully discharged your tasks thus giving full contribution to development of operational capability of both your unit and the Serbian Armed Forces as a whole.
I congratulate this day to you and your Patron Saint Day and I wish you a lot of success in your future work.
