194 years of II Serbian Uprising
In Takovo the 194th anniversary of the start of the second Serbian uprising was commemorated today.The ceremony was attended by the Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic, the Minister of Education Zarko Obradovic laying commemorative wreath on the memorial near the Takovo shrub.
On occasion of the day of Gornji Milanovac, there are also delegations visiting from Slovenj Grdenc, Slovenia and Kavadarac, Macedonia.
The representatives of these tow municipalities from former Yugoslav republics signed a charter on renewing friendship and cooperation between elementary schools and Kralj Aleksandar elementary school
In the village of Lunjevica, under Vujan mountain, a bust erected in memory of Nikola Milicevic Lunjevica, the participant of II Uprising, the grandfather of Queen Draga Obrenovic was revealed. A monodrama, authored by Milovan Vitezovic, was presented based on Lunjevica’s life.
