Reception for Retired Chiefs of General Staff on the Occasion of the Day of the Serbian Armed Forces




 
Today, on the occasion of the upcoming Day of the Serbian Armed Forces, Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Ljubiša Diković hosted a reception for retired Chiefs of General Staff of our armed forces and the President of the Assembly of Generals and Admirals Club. The reception was held in the barracks “Banjica 2”.
 
In the framework of today’s visit, General Diković and the guests visited the Simulation Training Centre where Acting Head of Training and Doctrine Department of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Colonel Boško Zorić and Head of Simulation Training Centre Colonel Mičo Branković presented the capacities of the Centre, with particular attention to the activities of the computer assisted multinational command post exercise “Viking 18” which is currently in progress.
 
Having in mind that it is the world largest computer assisted command post exercise with the participation of representatives from 61 country, the retired Chiefs of General Staff took the opportunity to talk with the participants of the exercise, and to inform themselves about the exercise aimed at advancing the competence of the participants to respond to current and future multidimensional crisis situations and peacekeeping operations.
