“All Serbian soldiers deployed to the peacekeeping mission in the Central African Republic are well and safe” stated the Minister of Defence, Aleksandar Vulin.
“Conflicts occurred in the Central African Republic, in the area of the town of Bngui, between the UN troops and insurgents’ groups. Ten members of the United Nations have been injured but none of them is a member of our peacekeeping mission. All the members of our peacekeeping mission are well, they are peaceful and taken care of, and their families can celebrate Easter feeling peaceful and assured. The Serbian Armed Forces conduct all its missions and they are always where it is the most difficult. I want to send a message to our peacekeepers as well that we are thinking of them and that we are proud of them, and to their families to be assured and peaceful – everyone is well and taken care of” Minister Vulin stated.
