Enhancement of Cooperation between Serbia and Iran



Ministers of defence of the Republic of Serbia and Islamic Republic of Iran, Aleksandar Vulin and Brigadier General Amir Hatami met on the side-lines of the Seventh Moscow conference on international security.

The topic of the meeting of Ministers Vulin and Hatami was the enhancement of the cooperation between the two countries.

The Serbian minister thanked the Iranian side for the principled support to legitimate efforts of Serbia to preserve sovereignty and territorial integrity in Kosovo and Metohija.

He expressed gratitude for the invitation to pay official ministerial visit to Teheran and emphasised that there existed mutual interest in potential development of military economic and military technical cooperation. Minister Vulin said that he was pleased with the development of relations between the two countries and the great number of visitors from Iran who came to Serbia owing to abolishment of visas.
