Keys to flats awarded at Bezanijska kosa
Defense Minister has awarded keys to 25 flats today to former and current members of SAF and MoD at Bezanijska kosa residential part of Belgrade. This event was alos attended by Assistant Minister for Material Resources Ilija Pilipovic.
– Today we presented 25 keys at 36 Pedje Milosavljevica street. There are two apartments left which have not been awarded yet. The llegal decision has been reached back in 2001.
Minister added that MoD will continue with constructing flats even during 2009.
- The financial crisis will certainly affect the projects we designed. It will be hard to finish all our projects, and I believe that we will solve another 350 flat applications submitted by MoD members.
Minister was the first guest in the family of Colonel Goran Petkovic, Deputy Head of the Defense Obligations Department who received the legal decision on being granted the flat back in 2001. in the words of Colonel Petkovic, the current management of MoD put in a lot of effort to finish the construction of flats at Bezanijska kosa and to correct the mistakes from previous times.
Among those who got flats was the retired Colonel Petar Dostanic who has been waiting to get a flat since 1992. he and his four-member family have lived without a flat of their own for 23 years. During his professional service he spent only three years in a suitable flat.
