There is still no punishment for the pogrom of Serbs

It has been 14 years since the pogrom of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, when about 4,000 Serbs were expelled from their hearths to which they never returned. Between 14 and 19 people were killed, churches and monasteries were burnt, all that could have been destroyed was destroyed, collective memory of one nation desecrated, they wanted to erase the traces of the existence of one nation in Kosovo and Metohija and no one was prosecuted for that just as no one was prosecuted for thousands of Serbs killed in Kosovo and Metohija since 1999, Minister Vulin said, adding:

- I am afraid that no one will be responsible for such a crime, the greatest pogrom in the 21st century. This means that international law has died, justice is unattainable for Serbs, and that the international community should recognize its great failure and shame. In 1999, the international community came to Kosovo and Metohija with a clear mandate - to provide peace and justice for all those who live in the southern Serbian province. We see that there is no justice for Serbs, that there is no peace for Serbs. There is no justification that the state of Serbia ceases to fight for Kosovo and Metohija, for justice and security in that area. It is our obligation and our duty and inasmuch as we do it, and inasmuch as we are brave to keep on constantly reminding ourselves, things will change and have to change. Unfortunately, like most of Serbs in Kosovo, we have lost confidence in the international community, and it is difficult for us to believe that things will change for the better, the Minister of Defence said.
