Eight Foreign Citizens Taken Into Custody

Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin stated today that on the previous day and on that day, the members of the Military Police took into custody eight foreign citizens either because they tried to take unauthorised photographs of military facilities or because they tried to enter the military facilities without authorisation where it is strictly forbidden to civilians to enter.

- Competent authorities are working on clarifying all these events, and when we make adequate conclusions, we will inform the public. I do not wish to give this the greater significance than it really has, but I have to say that I do not believe in coincidences, and that such a great number of foreign citizens and such great number of trespasses or attempts to enter the premises controlled by the Serbian Armed Forces has not been recorded for a long time – Minister Vulin stressed.

According to the minister of defence, the citizens can be peaceful and rely on their armed forces, because all competent authorities, as it is seen, are very efficient, quite vigilant and pay attention to the security of military facilities and the security of each of our citizens.

- All our security structures are involved in resolving such cases, and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces is regularly informed.
