CISM footsal championship opened
At the sports-recreational center the first CISM-FIFA military footsal championship started today under the auspices of Counseil Internatioanl du Sports Militaire and the International Football Association with the representations of Serbia, Croatia, BiH, Macedonia, Montenegro and Slovenia as participants.The championship was opened by State Secretary Zoran Jeftic, PhD and Colonel Mishell van Mers, Secretary General of CISM.
At the press conference held after the opening ceremony, Secretary Jeftic reminded the present that the importance of this sports manifestation which gathers 6 regional countries was enormous. He called on the athletes to be fair. Colonel van Mers stressed that CISM gathered 141 countries and that it had been an institution recognized by many international organizations.Qualification matches are scheduled for the period of 14-16 April from 10:00 to 13:00, while placement matches are scheduled for Saturday, 18 April, in the period from 12:00 to 16:30.
The organizer of the championship is the Ministry of Defense, the host being our delegation with CISM. The referees will be from the Football Association of Serbia.
