Locations Prepared for the Construction of Flats for the Members of Security Forces

The preparatory work has been continued for the construction of flats for the members of security sector, upon the order of the Supreme Commander and President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić. A session of the National Council for the construction of flats for the members of the security sector was held today with the participation of the Minister of Defence, Aleksandar Vulin. It was concluded at the session that the locations where the flats could be built for the members of the security sector had been prepared and the construction of 7,400 flats in six towns: Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš, Kragujevac, Kraljevo and Vranje could begin in the second and third quarter the year, or starting from March and onwards.

The said towns are not the only ones where it is desirable to build the flats for the security forces. There is pronounced interest in building flats in Leskovac, Obrenovac and Kikinda, but there are also other towns where it is required to build the flats such as Novi Pazar, Prijepolje, Užice and Čačak, so that the talks will be initiated in the upcoming period with the local governments and they will be asked to offer the locations, which, of course, have to be ready, with planning documentation and certain utility infrastructure which will also be a topic at the following session of the mentioned Council.
