Minister Vulin with the Attenders of the Course for Strategic Leaders
Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin received today the attenders of the Course for Strategic Leaders which is organised for the second time by the National Defence School.
The aim of the Course is to systematise the existing knowledge and skills, gaining new and further development of leader capabilities for effective, efficient and lawful management of the activities within security and defence and strategic level.
Speaking to the attenders of the Course, the minister of defence pointed out the significance of the said education and supported the concept of the National Defence School which implies a lifelong gaining and updating knowledge and skills, and where it is not unusual to see generals in “school benches”.
Having in mind that the Course for Strategic Leaders is divided to a module dedicated to security and defence and a module of defence management, Minister Vulin spoke about the significance of being familiar with contemporary international relations “both from the aspect of security in the global world, and from the viewpoint of the European security architecture, in light of the EU Common Security and Defence Policy, which encompasses the excellent knowledge of negotiations chapters of Serbia and the EU”.
At the same time, the area of defence management will enable the attenders of the Course to observe through expert prism the strategic management in the defence and security system which includes the overall superstructure of leader capabilities, who are familiar with excellent knowledge of media and communication skills.
According to the words of the Head of the National Defence School Colonel Dr Miroslav Talijan, the instruction is carried out by eminent scientists and experts in the said areas, and this year’s attenders are the Commander of the Guard of the Serbian Armed Forces Major General Milomir Todorović, Deputy Commander of AF and AD Brigadier General Sava Milenković, Commander of the Army Brigade Brigadier General Željko Petrović, Head of the Staff of the Training Command Brigadier General Dejan Janković and Commander of the Central Logistic Brigade General Petar Latković.
Later during the day, the attenders of the Course for Strategic Leaders, were reeived bz Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Ljubiša Dikovića.
