Gratitude to the Republic of Suriname




Minister of Defence AleksandarVulin received the Minister of Interior Affairs of the Republic of SurinameFaisel Mohamed Noersalim.

Duringthemeeting, Minister Vulin expressed particular satisfaction with the recent meeting in Belgrade, and open and friendly talks. Heexpressedhisconfidence that in the period to come they would witness the enhancement of relations and cooperation between Serbia and Suriname in all fields, based on primarily foundations of friendship, in the interest of and for the wellbeing of our nations.

Minister Vulin thanked Minister Noersalim for his personal contribution and the influence he exerted on the Government of the Republic of Suriname to pass the decision to withdraw recognition of the unilaterally proclaimed independence of “Kosovo”. Hestressedthatsuchan action of the Republic of Suriname encouraged us in our belief that the postulates of international law would be observed again in their full capacity and in accordance with original principles of preserving dignity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the states and subjects of international relations.
