Command Post Exercise “Grom 2017” commences
Alarm of the command forces to the reaction forces of the Serbian Armed Forces, in the night on 24th October, started the command post exercise "Grom 2017".
The exercise will be conducted until 26th October at the peacetime and exercise locations of the command forces at all levels of command, at several locations on the territory of the Republic of Serbia.
The exercise is intended to verify, practice and build the capabilities of the command forces in successful and efficient commanding, conducting operational planning process, and effectively managing operations, with rapid and organized occupation and movement of command posts.According to Chief of the Exercise Colonel Željko Tramošljika, from the Joint Operational Command of the General Staff, the aim of the exercise is to once again check and improve the training of forces for commanding of the response forces when occupying command posts and to improve the command ability.
- The exercise includes the execution of actions and procedures of forces for commanding reaction forces at all levels, including strategic, operational and tactical levels, which means integration of training and capacity building at all levels - Colonel Tramošljika said.
The exercise involves part of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, the Army Command , the Air Force and Air Defence, the Training Command, the Guard and their directly subordinate units for support and security.
