President Vučić at final preparations for the Demonstration “Freedom 2017”
President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić attended the final preparations for Demonstration of a part of the operational capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces "Freedom 2017". The final preparations were also attended by Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin, Chief of SAF General Staff General Ljubiša Diković, Minister of Interior Nebojša Stefanović and Director of the Security Information Agency Bratislav Gašić.
After talks with the participants of the Demostration, President Vucic said he was proud of the military personnel and invited citizens to come to Batajnica Airport and attend the Demonstration that will present "a new and different picture of the Serbian Armed Forces".
-That speaks about our concern to preserve military neutrality and, above all, our freedom. We are not so weak any more today, and we will continue to strengthen also in the future. My concern for the military will be equally large and bigger from day to day, Vučić said.
On the Demonstration of a part of the operational capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces "FREEDOM 2017", at the Batajnica airport on 20th October 2017, starting at 12:00, the new MiG-29 aircraft and modern equipment of soldiers according to the 1500 concept will be presented to the public for the first time.Besides the aviation of the Serbian Armed Forces, the Russian aerobatic team Strizhi will take part in the flying part of the screening, and the static part of the display will be dedicated to the new products of the Serbian Defence Industry.
