- There are many other indicators that in the development of modern special units we are taking the right path. It is clear that our desires and needs are greater, as well as our ambition to be a distinctive special unit. Nevertheless, this tendency has not distracted us from reality and the satisfaction with the results achieved is in line with our seriousness and professional approach to every task. Our commitments are the ultimate operational capabilities, and the willingness to respond to challenges and threats, which we will only achieve with top training, responsibility and solid military discipline - General Veličković emphasized.

At the memorial room of the Special Brigade, after the military part of the ceremony and the ceremonial defile, a wreath was placed in memory of the fallen members of that unit. Already traditionally, at today's ceremony, visitors had the opportunity to see the arsenal of modern arms and equipment used by this elite unit of our Armed Forces.

The Special Brigade was formed on 29th September 2006 by combining the 72nd Special Brigade, 63nd Parachute Brigade and parts of the 82nd Maritime Centre and the Cobra Counter-Terrorism Detachment.
