Ministers Stefanović and Vulin Visited the Injured at the MMA



Vice President of the Government and Minister of Internal Affairs, Nebojša Stefanović and Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin with their associates visited the firemen of the Ministry of Interior and the worker seriously injured in the recent accident in Lučani. On that occasion they visited a homeless person who had been severely injured by hooligans not so long ago.

Stressing that all who were injured in recent fire well treated at the MMA and that all the doctors and medical staff gave their best to relieve their pain – Minister of Defence, Aleksandar Vulin said:

-We are here to help them, to be with their families and show that each member of security forces of our country deserves and enjoys special attention and special respect. Healthcare institutions such as MMA can receive and honour all the specificities of the members of security forces and the problems they are faced with. Military health is open for civilians as well, and for all members of security sector. All health worker at the MMA will give their best to help the one who is in need of help in line with the highest world standards – Minister of Defence, Aleksandar Vulin said.

After visiting the injured in the Intensive Care Ward, the Vice President of the Government of Serbia and Minister of Interior, Nebojša Stefanović said:

-We have been assured once again how great and superhuman efforts are put at the Military Medical Academy to keep in life the ones who are severely injured. Here they fight for each second of their lives. We have seen how difficult their job is especially when the degree of burns is so high and when the injuries are so grave. The Ministry of Interior owes tremendous gratitude for the efforts of doctors and the entire staff at the MMA who are fighting for our members and all other citizens of Serbia as well – Minister Stefanović said.

Assessing the condition of the injured, Head of the MMA, Colonel Prof Miroslav Vukosavljević said that all four injured persons are hospitalised at the Intensive Care Ward and suffer from similar effects of extensive burns.

-They are all in very serious condition, their lives are in danger but all vital functions are being monitored. We hope that their recovery, with exceptional efforts of the engaged medical staff will go as it should – the Head of the MMA Colonel Prof Miroslav Vukosavljević stated.
