Members of the Serbian Armed Forces in the Balkan Championship in Mountain Running



Members of the Serbian Armed Forces, in the composition of the national team of the Republic of Serbia, participated in the 9th Balkan in Mountain Running in the Bulgarian town of Teteven.

In the competition, Serbia was presented by eight competitors (two female juniors, three male juniors, two female seniors and a male senior), accompanied by Laura Lukić, a coach and Second Lieutenant Goran Čegar, as Head of Delegation.

Members of the Serbian Armed Forces participating in the Serbian National Team were professional soldier Đuro Bordelj from the composition of the First Army Brigade, Lieutenant Nevena Jovanović from the "Cobra" Military Police Battalion and a civilian Ksenija Bubnjević from the Military Academy. 

Lieutenant Nevena Jovanovic won the bronze medal in the competition of 16 female competitors from five countries that crossed the track of 8.6 kilometers, with an altitude difference of + 870/-870 meters. Professional soldier Đuro Bordelj passed the path of 12.9 kilometers (with an altitude difference of + 870/-870 meters) as the thirteenth, and military official Ksenija Bubnjević was the eleventh.

With this success, Lieutenant Jovanovic met the quota for participation in the European Championship to be held this year in Slovenia.
