Gun salute on the occasion of the Victory Day



On the occasion of marking the 9th May – the Victory Day, members of the Serbian Armed Forces Guard fired today the honorary ten salvos from six pieces of artillery at the Sava terrace on Kalemegdan.

The honorary artillery gun salute on the day before the holiday was attended by the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations Command Major General Slavoljub Janicijevic and the Commander of the Guard Major General Milomir Todorovic.


The Representative Orchestra of the Guard performed the national anthem “God of Justice” with raising the state flag of the Republic of Serbia.

The Victory Day is a holiday that commemorates the victory of the Soviet Union over Nazi Germany in WWII.
