The British Ambassador received participants of the first military football tournament
The British Ambassador in Belgrade Denis Keefe hosted a reception for the participants of the International military futsal women’s tournament, female members of the Armed Forces of Serbia, the United Kingdom and Bosnia and Herzegovina, who have competed today in the Sports Centre of the Military Academy and presented them with cups.
The reception in the Ambassador’s residence was also attended by the Defence Minister Zoran Djordjevic.
Emphasizing that the results were not the most important thing at the women’s futsal tournament, “the first of such kind in the world”, that is who won the first, second and third place, ambassador Keefe said that the military representations of Serbia, the United Kingdom and Bosnia and Herzegovina showed the equal longing for success and represented the armed forces of their countries in a decent way.
More important thing than scored goals was the chance to promote once again gender equality and the fact that women are “even in football equal to men”, the British Ambassador to Serbia Denis Keefe said.
