Handover of keys to 33 apartments in Krusevac

The Defence Minister Zoran Djordjevic handed over today in residential area Pejton in Krusevac keys to 33 apartments to active and retired members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces. 26 apartments are located in Krusevac whereas the other tenants will move in the apartments in Nis, Kursumlija and Veliko Gradiste.
Minister Djordjevic emphasized that this practice of housing will continue in the future, and that tomorrow keys to 26 new apartments will be handed over to members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces in Belgrade. “Housing and material status are the priorities of the Ministry of Defence. We are trying to help people solve their housing issue through subsidized loans, and we are also trying to provide the most favourable conditions to our members in such case”, Minister Djordjevic said.
Talking about providing new apartments through the Master Plan, Minister Djordjevic pointed out that the current delay in this Plan should not discourage. “We encourage the local governments to buy the locations according to more favourable conditions, so that the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces can provide new apartments. The Master Plan is in the phase of drafting a new proposal and we will try to meet the needs of the local governments. Besides a different way of property assessment, one of the most important novelties is the fact that the local governments will have the standstill period, when they will not pay anything. In such case, they will have enough time to conform locations to designated use, make a detailed general plan, try to find an investor and then start to pay out the Ministry of Defence”, Minister Djordjevic explained, emphasizing that this model will be good for the development of local governments, the Ministry of Defence, Serbian Armed Forces and our country.

Talking about the cooperation of Krusevac and the defence system, Mayor Dragi Nestorovic stressed that besides apartments handed over today, additional 12 apartments, which are the property of the city and ready for the exchange for the Military Club in Krusevac are in the same building. After the ceremony of handover of keys, Minister Djordjevic with associates paid a visit to the apartment number 28 in which Captain Milan Tanic will move with his family and wish them all the best.
