The Day of the 4th Army Brigade
The Day of liberation of Vranje from Turks is marked on that day, and that is the day of the 1st infantry regiment of Prince Milos the Great located in the barracks Vranje, which still carries his name today. This regiment existed for more than five decades and participated in five wars. Besides the day of liberation of the city, 31st January was Saint Day of Vranje (Saint Atanasije the Great). These holidays were marked by the members of the 1st infantry regiment of Prince Milos the Great because the 31st January was the saint’s day of the regiment. The members of the former 78th motorized brigade, which became the part of the 4th Army Brigade, marked this day as the day of the unit (1878).
