Success of our SAF sports team
Soldier Mirko Petrovic is the winner of the cross contest in the German town of Neukirchen which was organized by the CISM (International Conseil du Sports Militaire). Senior Sergeant Goran Cegar came in 10th, while captain Alekasandar Nesevski came in 15th. The SAF team came in third, just ahead of Switzerland and Germany.12 teams participated in the cross with more than a hundred contestants. There were 12 hurdles on a 1700m long round track with five leaps.
Our delegation led By Lt. Col. Dragan Todorov, met with several important people and had meetings with respect to the organization of the upcoming World Military Championship in Marathon which is to be held on 18 April in Belgrade.The Chief of the European CISM delegation Major Anet Nigren from Sweden highly commended our contestants and the participation of SAF.
State Secretary Zoran Jeftic received soldier Mirko Petrovic on occasion of his success, as Secretary Jeftic is the Head of our delegation with CISM.
