"The Path to Belcanto" Concert in Kolarac
Stanislav Binički Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence held another evening of opera from the Cycle "The Path to Belcanto", at the stage of Kolarac endowment, in collaboration with students of the Faculty of Music Art in Belgrade.
This musical evening was also dedicated to the jubilee of the decade since the launch of "The Path to Belcanto" project, a kind of cooperation between the Faculty of Music Art and the Stanislav Binički Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence, which provides an opportunity for young singers to establish the newly acquired skills and knowledge in the field of the artistic singing by their public appearances.
Performing the works by composers such as Rossini, Dvorak, Bizet and Puccini, selected undergraduate and graduate students presented to the audience their newly acquired skills and knowledge in the field of the artistic singing under the baton of Vesna Šouc, under the artistic patronage of Professor Nikola Kitanovski, who is also the creator of the project.
Nikola Kitanovski, opera singer and professor of solo singing at the Faculty of Music Art of the Belgrade University of Arts, designed and launched "The Path to Belcanto" project in 2006, by which he has provided young singers an opportunity to show their newly acquired skills and knowledge in the field the artistic singing through public appearances for ten years.
In cooperation with the "Binički" ensemble, 12 full-length opera gala concerts were held, providing a valuable contribution and unreserved support to young singers in the new artistic experiences.
