Marking the Day of the Military Film Centre Zastava Film



Обележен Дан ВФЦ „Застава филм“The Military Film Centre “Zastava Film’’ marked today jubilee of 68 years since its foundation. Ceremonies on the occasion of the Day of the Military Film Institution – 14th November were attended by the representatives of the defence system, numerous associates and friends of “Zastava Film”.
 
Congratulating the employees on this Day, the director of the Military Film Centre “Zastava Film’’, Lieutenant Colonel Goran Ikonić said that the last year was a period in which the collective of  “Zastava Film” fulfilled all tasks and achieved considerable results, which he is proud of.
 
Head of the Public Relations Department, Navy Captain Petar Bošković, commended  the Military Film Centre “Zastava Film’’ for its exceptional results achieved during this year and emphasized that the Public Relations Department would invest further efforts to improve working conditions and provide additional logistic support to the Military Film Centre.

The attendees were shown a film about projects of “Zastava Film” carried out last year, which encompassed informative work, military exercises, educational and promotional films and spots, as well as documentary and feature films shot during last year.

In 1948 the Section for film production of the Yugoslav Army was established in Belgrade. The first products were Film Reviews from the Yugoslav Army – chronicles and comments on military and social life. The Military Film Centre “Zastava Film’’ got its present name in 1962. It won numerous praises and awards at international and home festivals.
