Participants of the Military Exercise Slavic Brotherhood 2016 seen off
Defence Minister Zoran Đorđević and Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff General Ljubiša Diković with associates have seen off the participants of the exercise “Slavic Brotherhood 2016”, the members of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, who took off from the airport Batajnica to their countries.On this occasion, Head of Reconnaissance Section of the Airborne Troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Major General Oleg Olegovich Polguyev and First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Special Operations Command of the Armed Forces of Belarus Colonel Oleg Ivanovich Peichevsky thanked Minister Đorđević and General Diković on hospitality during the exercise “Slavic Brotherhood 2016”.
Immediately before boarding three transporters Ilyushin at runway of Batajnica airport, with warm wishes for a good trip, the members of three armies greeted each other with the words “See you next year in Belarus” because, as announced, the host of multinational exercise “Slavic Brotherhood” next year will be the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.Multinational exercise “Slavic Brotherhood 2016” was carried out from 3rd to 9th November 2016 at Pasuljanske livade combined service training range, Orešac direct fire engagement system and Kovin and Batajnica airports. The tactical exercise involved 212 members of Airborne Troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, 56 members of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and 450 members of the Serbian Armed Forces.
