Gun salute on the occasion of Armistice Day in WWI



Почасна паљба поводом Дана примирја у Првом светском рату In commemoration of 11th November - Armistice Day in World War I the members of the Guard fired at the Sava terrace of the Kalemegdan promenade an honorary salvo of ten volleys from six pieces of artillery.

Почасна паљба поводом Дана примирја у Првом светском рату The honorary artillery salvo was attended by commander of Serbian Armed Forces Guard Major General Milomir Todorović and numerous citizens. 
The armistice in the Great War was signed on 11th November 1918 in France at the special wagon of Marshal Ferdinand Foch.

The ceremony of marking the Armistice Day represents the act of honoring all military and civilian victims killed during the Great War. The armistice, which was valid until conclusion of the final Peace Treaty in Versailles on 28th June 1919 is marked in all countries that signed the treaty.
