Preparations for military observers

In the Center for Peace Operations a two-week preparations started yesterday for military observers who will soon be assigned to UN peace missions in Liberia (UNMIL) and Cote d Ivoire (UNOCI).
In his address to the military observers taking these preparations, the Head of the Center Colonel Jelisije Radivojevic pointed out the professional relationship of future observers towards their assigned tasks is very important as in an international environment they will be representing their country and the army in a period of 12 months, which makes them a sort of Serbian ambassadors in the UN structures and in aconcrete country where this international peace mission has been established.
Colonel Radivojevic stressed that these preparations do not focus on acquiring new knowledge as they have already acquired all the knowledge they need in the courses taken previously. The future military observers will once again test their driving of motor vehicles and wil be introduced to the current state of affairs in African states.
