Министар одбране са потпредседницом Владе НамибијеDefence Minister Zoran Djordjevic has discussed today with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Namibia Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah the possibilities for promoting defence cooperation between the two countries.

Djordjevic and Nandi Ndaitwah agreed that the cooperation so far has not been at the required level and expressed their readiness to take measures for its intensification and enhancement in the forthcoming period. "We offer technology transfer, military engineering projects, building of military overhaul facilities, training of personnel of different profiles, and we are ready for the implementation of specialist training of the engineering platoon, training of cadets at the undergraduate studies (Artillery and Engineering), in accordance with the expressed interest of Namibian Army Commander Major General Thomas Hamunyela, who visited Serbia in April this year", Minister of Defence said.

He thanked the Deputy Prime Minister Nandi Ndaitwah for the principled support to Namibia in defence of the principles of international law and a firm stance when it comes to preserving the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, and he introduced her to the current activities of the Ministry of Defence.
