State Secretary Spasojevic on national security
As part of the discussion regarding the Draft of the National Security Strategy, State Secretary Dusan Spasojevic held at the Forum for International Relations of the European Movement in Serbia a lecture titled “The Strategy of National Security”.
On that occasion, State Secretary Spasojevic stated that the strategy represented the highest ranking and the most important document in the area of national security and defense which also defines the basics of security organizing at the highest state level. It represents the most comprehensive document so far which formulates security goals in the areas of foreign policy, economy, defense, internal security and other areas of social life defining the basics of the system of national security.„In order to define the adequate security concept, the Strategy of National Security should set the ther national security goals and interests, evaluations of international security environment, to identify internal and exterrnal risks and threats, to establish basic parameteres of national security and to project material resources for its realization”, said Spasojevic.
After the lecture, State Secretary Spasojevic answered the questions of the forum members.
This public discussion was also attended by the Chief of the Strategic Planning Department of MoD Brigadier General Mitar Kovac.
