Minister Gasic at the Summit in Wales



The delegation of the Ministry of Defence, headed by Minister Bratislav Gasic, will participate in the meeting as one of the partners at the NATO Summit, which begins on September 4, in Newport, Great Britain.

The meeting “NATO + 24 Partners” is dedicated to promoting the Partnership Interoperability Initiative and “The Interoperability Platform 2014-2015”. Participation in the meeting is of extreme importance, because the Armed Forces of Serbia are actively engaged in the concept of operational capabilities, which is the key mechanism for achieving interoperability and the development of capabilities of our units in the UN and EU peacekeeping operations.

Discussing interoperability is also beneficial for considering future engagement and development of the Alliance’s cooperation with the partners, and projecting cooperation between Serbia and NATO in the next period.

Bratislav Gasic is the first Serbian Defence Minister to participate in such a meeting.
