Documentary film "Hero of 1914" in the final stage of shooting

Documentary film "Hero of 1914" has entered the final stage of shooting on location in Belgrade and in the Serbian province. The author of the film produced by "Vreme film" is Filip Svarm, the director is Nikola Lukic and director of photography is Igor Sunter.

The theme of the documentary film "Hero 1914", whose realisation was supported by the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces by expert consultations and weapons and other equipment related to the period in 1914, is the life of an ordinary Serbian soldier in the first year of the First World War. Who is he, and how does he fight at the Battle of Cer, Drina and Kolubara? What are his weapons, what does he eat and where does he sleep? What is the social status of that soldier, and what is his attitude to the state? What does he have and what is he missing? What are the chambers and the artillery of the Serbian Army like, and what are medical facilities and war hospitals like? How did the ordinary Serbian soldier, farmer – the least equipped fighter in the First World War – manage to win the biggest victory in 1914?

The documentary film "Hero of 1914" will be shown within the celebration of the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War.
