Lecture on energy security in the High Security and defence Studies school



The representative of "Marshall Center " Alessandro Sefler gave a lecture to students of High Security and Defence Studies on "Energy Security" .

Sefler , who teaches at the University of the Bundeswehr , expressed his pleasure at being able to talk about the energy potential in the country of origin of Nikola Tesla , and which, by all accounts has rich energy resources .

Talking about the various forms of energy , Sefler pointed to characteristics , advantages and disadvantages associated with their use , and commented on aspects of energy security. He pointed out that oil, natural gas and coal fuels which are most common in most countries around the world while hydro and nuclear energy , as a resource are used by a very small number of countries . According to him, this energy is mostly spent on transport , heating and electricity production .

In his lecture, participants discussed the issue of energy transition in the example of Germany, and the final part of today's meeting was devoted to the analysis of energy security.
