Minister Rodic receives the Ambassador of Bulgaria

The Minister of Defence of the Republic of Serbia Nebojsa Rodic and the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria in Belgrade Angel Dimitrov agreed during today's meeting that the last few years are the period of best relations when it comes to defense cooperation between the two countries .

As excellent examples of previous military cooperation is the joint practice of firing antiaircraft units for operations on Sabla training ground in Bulgaria and pilot training of Bulgarian armed forces in the simulator MiG-29 aircraft at the Batajnica airfield. Also, the Ministry of Defence of our neighbors allow the free use of the software package BULCOD ~ ~ - state codification system of Bulgaria .

There is a very high degree of realization of bilateral military cooperation plan with Bulgaria , which is the result of good planning and properly set priorities .

The Republic of Bulgaria supports Serbia on its path towards European integrations, and in this context any of experience when it comes to security and defense aspects of joining the European Union is more than welcome.

The priority areas that need to deepen in the coming period are highlighted in joint exercises and training , cooperation between the military police service , cooperation in the implementation of software for the codification and simulation , military medicine , and public relations in the field of planning , programming and budgeting. Furthermore, the meeting between Ministers of Defence in February of 2014 is also planned.

The fact that this is a neighboring and common interests in a broader sense are certainly factors that are the basis for planning future activities as was assessed by Rodic Minister and Ambassador Dimitrov where both of them concluded that military cooperation plan for the coming year in terms of limited budget should primarily be of good quality, but also economical.
