Minister Stefanović: Military health care at the service of all citizens

At today’s National Assembly session, where MPs asked Government ministers questions, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, thanked again all military health workers who, in addition to Covid-19 patients, treat people suffering from other illnesses in these difficult times.

- This is the moment when we need to ask those people what we can do to make it easier for them and show them that we respect them. We do not need to say it and make it sound like a cliché, but to really show that we appreciate their exerting themselves to the point of exhaustion. Those people in the military health care system are fighting in a really disciplined manner. There is a lot of pressure on the entire health system, including the military health care – emphasized Minister Stefanović adding that what the military system can be proud of is being well organized and disciplined.

The Minister of Defence also emphasized that our armed forces are the strongest guarantor of our country’s security and the stability in the entire region.

- I talked to President Aleksandar Vučić and I believe that he will consider all the things we talked about and that together with the Government and the Prime Minister he will find a way for us to increase the income of members of the armed forces in the coming period, but also to continue providing them with equipment even more intensively - said the Minister of Defence.

Strong armed forces and strong military health care have shown that this part of our country’s system knows how to support its people at this difficult time, emphasizes Minister Stefanović and says that the armed forces will repay any assistance that they get.
