Joint session of the Collegium of the Minister of Defence and the extended Collegium of the Chief of the General Staff
A joint session of the Collegium of the Minister of Defence and the extended Collegium of the Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces was held today on Tara mountain.
At the beginning of the session, a minute’s silence was observed in honour of three members of the Serbian Armed Forces who died of Covid-19.
At today's session, chaired by the Minister of Defence, Aleksandar Vulin, the completion of key tasks of the Serbian Armed Forces in the previous period was analyzed, with special emphasis on the execution of tasks of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces during the state of emergency.
It was concluded that the achieved high level of operational capabilities had a direct influence on the readiness of the Serbian Armed Forces to fully perform all assigned tasks during the state of emergency, observing all the health protection measures in the fight against Covid-19.
The Serbian Armed Forces have significantly improved their operational capabilities in all segments by completing key tasks and by being equipped with modern materiel, thanks to the personal engagement of the President of the Republic and the Supreme Commander Aleksandar Vučić.
The upcoming key activities will be aimed at further strengthening the operational capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces and preserving peace and security of all the citizens of the Republic of Serbia.
