International Military Cooperation of Serbia and China
Delegation of the International Military Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia met with the delegation of the Office for International Military Cooperation of the People’s Republic of China, who paid a three-day visit to our country. The Chinese delegation was led by Senior Colonel Chu Weiwei, Director of the Eurasian Bureau of the Office for International Military Cooperation.
During the meeting, it was concluded that the strategic partnership of traditionally friendly countries and peoples has been acknowledged through increasingly substantive defense cooperation. We particularly express gratitude on our part for the assistance provided by the Chinese side to the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces, with a mutual desire to continue this kind of cooperation in the future.
At the meeting it was agreed that the focus of bilateral military cooperation with the People’s Republic of China in the forthcoming period would be preparation and implementation of the visit of the first Vice-President of the Central Military Committee of the People’s Republic of China to Serbia in September, with the aim of further development of military-military, military-technical and military-medical cooperation of the two countries.
