Minister Vulin at “Krajina Songs, Dances and Customs” Event

Today, the Minister of Defense, Aleksandar Vulin, attended the “Krajiške pjesme, igre i običaji” (“Krajina Songs, Dances and Customs”), in Busija, near Belgrade, organized by the Association of Refugees and Displaced Persons in the Republic of Serbia.

At this traditional manifestation of Krajišniks, Minister Vulin received the plaque of the Coordination of the Association of Refugees and Displaced Persons in the Republic of Serbia.

Minister Vulin and Director of the Police, Vladimir Rebić, also attended the memorial service by the monument to the fallen fighters from Krajina in the port of the church at Busije.

This year, the Serbian Armed Forces took part in the event by organizing the preparation and free distribution of portions of military beans to those who gathered for the event.

Despite the rain, the traditional gathering of Serbs who were forced out of the Serbian Krajina, as well as other territories of the former Yugoslav Republics in the course of the 1990s wars, took place presenting traditional songs, costumes and customs from their place of birth.
