“Kobre” are Ready for the Exercise the “Century of Victors 1918-2018”

Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin attended today the exercise demonstration of the Military Police Special Purpose Battalion “Kobre” in the barracks “General Jovan Mišković” in Belgrade.
A tactical exercise “execution of counter-terrorist and security protection tasks” was conducted by the members of “Kobre” in the framework of preparations for the tactical joint exercise the “Century of Victors 1918-2018”.
Deputy Commander of “Kobre” Lieutenant Colonel Goran Colić pointed out that it was a great honour for the members of that battalion to be a part of one of the greatest military exercises held in previous years.
- In the framework of today’s preparations we presented a part of our capabilities and our armament. In the framework of that, we have demonstrated tasks of security protection, counter-terrorist and counter-raid protection. Our members are great professionals who have showed today the techniques of combat, overcoming water obstacles and situational shooting – said Lieutenant Colonel Colić.
With their capabilities and training, in a part of today’s preparations for the exercise, the members of “Kobre” have once again demonstrated why they are one of the most elite units in the Serbian Armed Forces.

Today’s practice was attended by Acting assistant minister of defence for material resources Nenad Miloradović, Deputy Chief of General Staff Major General Petar Cvetković, Dean of the University of Defence Major General Goran Radovanović, Head of Military Academy Major General Bojan Zrnić and Head of Department for Intelligence and Reconnaissance Major General Ilija Todorov.

Joint, multilevel and unilateral tactical live exercise the “Century of Victors 1918-2018” is going to take place on 10th November 2018 to mark the 100th anniversary of the victory in the First World War.

The exercise is going to be executed simultaneously on 10 locations covering the topic: “Preparation and employment of reaction forces of the Serbian Armed Forces” with the participation of some 8000 members of the Army and Air Force and Air Defence and more than 600 combat systems and aircraft.
