Bilateral defence consultations with the Kingdom of Norway




 
Acting Assistant Minister for Defence Policy Milan Mojsilović has received today a delegation of the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Norway that is on a visit to the Republic of Serbia for holding bilateral defence consultations.
 
Cooperation in the field of defence with the Kingdom of Norway is at the top of the priorities of the Republic of Serbia, the Acting Assistant Minister Mojsilović pointed out, and, considering the importance of the continuity of the high-level meetings for determining the strategic guidelines for future cooperation, he conveyed the interest in organizing a ministerial meeting in the forthcoming period.
 
During the bilateral defence consultations, Colonel Milan Ranković, Head of Department for International Military Cooperation and Colonel Bjørn Eivind Stai, Deputy Chief of Branch for International Security Policy and Operations, agreed that cooperation in the field of defence was intense and developed, with the existence of long-term continuity in the areas of mutual interest.
 
Colonel Ranković expressed his gratitude for the substantial expert and financial support of the Kingdom of Norway in the fields of military medicine, military education and defence planning, which contributed to a more efficient reform of the defence system.
 
Colonel Stai emphasized the key role of the Republic of Serbia in the stability of the region. He reiterated the readiness of the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Norway to continue supporting the reform of the defence system, through the initiated and new projects.
 
During the visit, the Delegation of the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Norway visited the Advanced Distributed Learning and Simulations Section at the School of National Defence.
