Minister Vulin: Thanks to the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, our Air Force can protect our skies again

Today, the Minister of Defence, Aleksandar Vulin, visited the cadets of the 140th class of the Military Academy who are undergoing flight training at the "Morava" military airport in Lađevci near Kraljevo. Minister Vulin pointed out that in 2012, our aviation almost did not exist, and that since 2012, the average number of flights of pilots has increased several times.
  - Thanks to the remarkable persistence of the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, and thanks to the implementation of the Military Technical Agreement and the huge investment of our entire society, our entire Air Force can once again protect our skies and our sovereignty and integrity, and the cadets, who are training on completely new aircraft, can have a sufficient number of flight hours and will become great pilots, just like they are great people - said Minister Vulin.

After the briefing given by the Commander of the 714th Anti Armour Helicopter Squadron, Lieutenant Colonel Dobrosav Drndarević, the Minister of Defence attended the demonstration of the flight training of the Military Academy cadets.

According to the Deputy Commander of the 714th Anti Armour Helicopter Squadron and the flight instructor, Major Saša Nikolić, the cadets of the 140th class of the Military Academy’s helicopter pilot study program, are currently being trained in that unit.

- During this school year, they completed the segment of basic, navigation and instrument flying. They still have to undergo training in night flying, low flying and flying on HN 42/45 N armed helicopters - Major Nikolić points out, adding that he is extremely satisfied with the results that the cadets of the 140th class of the Military Academy showed during the training.
Mihajlo Milićević, a fifth-year aviation cadet of the Military Academy, believes that the training on the “Gama” helicopter, which the cadets are currently undergoing in the 98th Air Brigade, is a good basis for further training on Mi-17, Mi-35 and H-145M helicopters.

- The most interesting part is basic flying, where we are learning new elements and the way of flying an aircraft, which we have not experienced so far - cadet Milenković points out.

Tijana Milenković, a fifth-year cadet of the Military Academy, points out that the training on "Gamma" helicopters was preceded by training on the “Gazelle” helicopter, which the aviation cadets had in their fourth year, and that all stages of training are equally interesting.
  - Each part is interesting in its own way. Of course, the beginning was the most difficult, because we were adjusting then. Instructors are always there for us for whatever we need, whether it's something that we learned at the beginning or something new that we haven't tried yet. They are always there to transfer knowledge. Also, a conversation between all of us means a lot - said cadet Milenković, adding that the advice of more experienced colleagues always means a lot.

The Commander of Air Force and Air Defence, Major General Duško Žarković, the Commandant of the Military Academy, Major General Bojan Zrnić and the Commander of the 98th Air Brigade, Colonel Zoran Prodanović also visited the cadets at the the "Morava" military airport in Lađevci.
