Minister Vulin: All units of the Serbian Armed Forces are constantly trained



- All members of the Serbian Armed Forces have a responsible and a very difficult job. In order to be able to respond to all the challenges they face, they must constantly undergo training. All units of the Serbian Armed Forces are constantly trained, even if they have other tasks - said the Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin, who visited members of the Command for the Development of the Timok Brigade of the Training Command and the 31st Infantry Battalion of the Third Army Brigade in the "Nikola Pašić" barracks in Zaječar.
  The task of the Ministry of Defence and the entire state leadership, Minister Vulin emphasized, is to provide them with appropriate conditions for that.
 
- They got new uniforms, they got new summer boots for the first time, the quality of all the assets they use in their work is increasing, and we are certainly planning to increase their salaries in the next period - Minister Vulin pointed out, adding that when soldiers are provided in that way they can only dedicate themselves to their tasks, training and preparation for all the challenges, so that the best results can be expected.
 
The commander of the 31st Infantry Battalion of the Third Army Brigade, Major Lazar Kalat, pointed out that the scope of training of soldiers from that battalion was demonstrated.
  - First, the operation of the platoon for the support of an infantry company that is undergoing training in "Exiting and occupying firing position" was demonstrated, and then the firing squad showed training on "Hummer" motor vehicles taking the role of reconnaissance patrol during a roadblock and attack on the column - Major Kalat emphasized. He pointed out that these drills are performed daily in the battalion’s infantry companies, as well as drills that are conducted as part of preparations of the deployable units according to the concept of operational capabilities.
 
- In both cases, the focus is on collective training, in order to show the work of the section as part of the platoon and the way of training, to build team spirit and improve cooperation - said Major Kalat, adding that in this way members of the unit will perform assigned tasks more easily and quickly.
  After the briefings given by the Commander of the Command for the Development of the Timok Brigade, Colonel Branko Radojević, and the Commander of the 31st Infantry Battalion, Major Kalat, the Minister of Defence attended the demonstration of the procedure of exiting and occupying firing position demonstrated by the support platoon, the demonstration of the response of the firing squad in a “Hummer” vehicle in case of an attack and visited facilities for weapons and military equipment storing and maintenance.

Members of the Command for the Development of the Timok Brigade were also visited by the Chief of Staff of the Army Command, Brigadier General Željko Tramošljika, the Chief of Staff of the Training Command, Colonel Nikola Dejanović, and the Deputy Commander of the Third Army Brigade, Colonel Dragan Antić.
