Joint Session of the Collegiums of the Minister of Defense and the Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces
The joint Session of the Collegiums of the Minister of Defense and the extended Collegiums of the Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, headed by Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin, was held today at Tara.
On the agenda of today's joint session were talks on key activities and the situation in the defense system over the first six months of the year and major tasks in the coming period.The security situation in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as the security challenges in the country and the region, were also considered.
At the end of the meeting, it was concluded that in the forthcoming period, in accordance with the decisions of the President of the Republic of Serbia and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, AleksandarVučić, the focus of the work of the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forceswill be to further modernize and equip the Serbian Armed Forceswith modern weapons and military equipment in order to raise the level of operational and functional capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces, and improving the life standard for the members of the Serbian Armed Forces.
