Minister Vulin meets Minister Benko




Before the beginning of the joint session between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of Hungary, to be held in Subotica, Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin met with Hungarian Defence Minister Tibor Benkő.
 
Ministers Vulin and Benkő emphasized the importance of further enhancement of military-to-military cooperation, stressing the importance of continuing with carrying out joint exercises "Iron cat" and "Neighbors" that have been traditionally organised. They also agreed on the continuation of further cooperation in the field of CBRN, military medical service and multinational operations, as well as the exchange of instructors and different forms of education.
 
Minister Vulin thanked his Hungarian counterpart for significant contribution of Hungarian troops in KFOR and praised their capability and professionalism in this mission.
 
Minister Benkő stressed that they did not support the establishment of the "Kosovo Armed Forces" under the current principle, but that the said process should be in line with international law and conventions, but also to be acceptable to the Republic of Serbia.
 
The bilateral meeting between Minister Vulin and Benkő was also attended by acting assistant minister of defence for material resources, Nenad Miloradović, PhD, and head of Department for International Military Cooperation Colonel Milan Ranković.
