PUBLIC RELATIONS DEPARTMENT

Public Relations Department is a military institution of the Ministry of Defence directly subordinated to the Minister of Defence organisationally and functionally, performing the following activities: promotion of the defence system of the Republic of Serbia in the country and in the world; realization of informative, promotional and educational objectives through publishing, internet, video, film and TV production and delivery of service information to domestic and foreign public media from the field of defence, especially the activities of the Ministry and the Armed Forces.

Organization

Following military units and institutions are subordinated to Public Relations Department:
1. Media Centre “Odbrana”;
2. MoD Artistic Ensemble “Stanislav Binički”;
3. Military Film Centre “Zastava film”, and
4. Military Printing House

1. Media Centre “Odbrana” performs activities related to: collection, preparation and publication of information about the work and activities of the Ministry of Defence, the Serbian Armed Forces and other elements of the defence system in the magazine “Odbrana” and the website of the Ministry of Defence; publishing of military professional, teaching-educational; military scientific and publicist literature and military magazines of “Novi glasnik”, “Vojno delo”, ”Vojnotehnički glasnik”.

2. Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence “Stanislav Binički” performs the following activities: participation in the highest state and military protocol; marking significant dates in the Republic of Serbia and the MoD and other institutions of importance for the defence system.

3. Military Film Centre “Zastava film” performing tasks related to: production of news, film, video and multimedia products designed to inform the public about the activities of the Ministry of Defence as well as for education and training of commands, units, institutions and members of the Serbian Armed Forces.

4. Military Printing House performs the following activities: printing books, newspapers, magazines, forms, making envelopes, maps, workbooks and other printed materials; making stamps, seals and other products using the engraving procedure for the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
