Cooperation with the Centre for Security Cooperation RACVIAC
Head of the department for International Military Cooperation Battleship Captain Milan Konjikovac received Deputy Director of RACVIAC Centre for Security Cooperation Brigadier General Zdravko Jakop and they confirmed the present successful cooperation between MoD and RACVIAC, analyzed previous activities of RACVIAC, and the contribution of the Ministry of Defence in its work.
Battleship Captain Konjikovac stressed the dedication of MoD to the regional cooperation, and cooperation with RACVIAC, of which Serbia is a permanent member, as the best way of preserving stability and security in the region. Moreover, he stated that, during 2015, representatives of the Ministry of Defence and other institutions of the Republic of Serbia had participated in over 15 RACVIAC activities, and hosted two of them.Brigadier General Zdravko Jakop stressed and important role that RACVIAC, as a regional international organization, had for the improvement of cooperation and security in the region of the Southeastern Europe, which was proved by 15 yeas of its engagement, and the adoption of Strategy 2020 in April, 2015 during the session of the Multinational Advisory Group (MAG) RACVIAC.
Both sides concluded that Serbia was an important factor of stability and cooperation in the region, and an active participant in all activities and meetings of MAG/RACVIAC. In that sense, the Ministry of Defence will continue the trend of good cooperation with the Centre for Security Cooperation and be a constructive partner in establishment of trust in the region.
