Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan with the Kingdom of Sweden signed



During the bilateral defence consultations between Ministries of Defence of the Republic of Serbia and the Kingdom of Sweden, it has been stated that cooperation in the field of defence is constantly increasing. Both sides assessed that the high level of realization of planned activities in 2014 is the result of great planning and clearly stated main points of the cooperation.

Потписан План билатералне војне сарадње са Краљевином Шведском Head of the International Military Cooperation Department Colonel Milan Konjikovac stated that military education is the most significant field of cooperation. He conveyed his content with the continuity of cooperation in the field of education and training of members of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Serbia at the International Center of the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Sweden – SWEDINT and thanked for the increased number of offered courses.

Representative of the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Sweden Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Ottosson stressed that future cooperation must be further qualitatively improved, for the benefit of both sides. He restated the readiness of the Swedish side, as a neutral state, to transfer its experience from deployment within the Partnership for Peace Program, and in the domain of cooperation with the European Defence Agency.

During the talks, the Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan for 2015 has been designed and signed.
