Opening of the exhibition "Memory - Sorrow and Beauty"



In the course of marking the centenary of the beginning of the First World War, at the Small Gallery of the Central Military Club, on August 26, 2014, at 20.00, a gala opening will be held for the exhibition “Memory – Sorrow and Beauty” by academic painter and designer Ivanka Jevtovic.

The exhibition is dedicated to the heroines of the First World War, Milunka Savic and Nadezda Petrovic, and was inspired by the centenary of the Great War. The exhibition brings back and nurtures the memory of all Serbian heroes of this period.

The exhibition will be opened by Dusan Milovanovic, retired Museum Advisor at the Museum of Applied Art, and the exhibition’s author Ivanka Jevtovic and Lieutenant Colonel Slavoljub M. Markovic, Director of Odbrana Media Center will also give speeches at the opening.

The exhibition will be opened at the Small Gallery of the Central Military Club until September 20, 2014, on weekdays and Saturdays, 11.00 – 19.00.
